Mandet is an extensive toolbox used for the authentication of images and videos for forensic purposes. While the authentication of images and videos is not an easy job we have tried to make it as easy as possible for you. Extensive help
functionality and references to literature will help you to do the job. This document provides you with an overview of features included in this program.

Features:

Visual viewer

• Normal way of looking at an image
• Zoom in on the image and inspect it by eye

Hexadecimal viewer

• View all the bytes in the file in the hexadecimal viewer
• Search through the file for specific byte combinations with the hexadecimal search option

Metadata viewer

• View the metadata available in the file
• Copy the Google maps URL from the file and paste it in Maps to view the location of the device when the image or
video was taken.

Specific manipulation detectors

• Feature based clone detection
• Noise based splicing detection
• Flat inpainting detection
• Inconsistent motion in videos detection

General filters

• Error level analysis (ELA)
• Gradient
• Zoom test (replicated zoom only)
• Histogram

Input

• All standard image formats like jpeg, png, tiff, bmp, etc
• Using the FFMPEG, DirectShow, Media Foundation, VideoForWindows, Dahua and Hikvision video engines at the
