On the morning of February 4, 2026, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Signing Ceremony between HTI Group – Aeronautics – Viettel Manufacturing Corporation (VMC) was solemnly held at the Four Seasons Hotel, Singapore.
The event marked an important milestone in promoting international cooperation, advancing unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technologies, and expanding the high-tech industrial manufacturing value chain in Vietnam. It also reflected the long-term vision and leadership capacity of Vietnamese enterprises in deeply integrating into the global UAV industry value chain.
Aeronautics is one of the world’s leading groups in the design, development, and production of unmanned aerial systems for the defense and homeland security (HLS) markets. With over 25 years of experience, Aeronautics offers a comprehensive product portfolio, delivering advanced UAV solutions for Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions, meeting the demands of modern operations worldwide.
Viettel Manufacturing Corporation (VMC), a member of the Viettel Group, specializes in the research, development, and manufacturing of electronic, telecommunications, high-tech equipment, and precision mechanical products. VMC plays a core role in Vietnam’s national high-tech defense industrial complex and is deeply involved in the global supply chain.
HTI Group, through its member company HTI UAS, focuses on the research, development, and production of “Make in Vietnam” UAV platforms. The key objective of HTI UAS is to master the design, technologies, and manufacturing of UAV components, parts, and control systems by Vietnamese engineers. This contributes meaningfully to the development of Vietnam’s security and defense industry, while also expanding UAV applications in civilian sectors such as surveying, urban management, agriculture and forestry, search and rescue, and beyond—aiming to bring Vietnamese UAV products to the international market.
Under the agreement, the three parties will coordinate in research, development, and cooperative manufacturing of selected UAV models aligned with domestic industrial capabilities, with the goal of developing “Make in Vietnam” UAV products that meet domestic market demands and expand into export markets.
The signing of this MoU not only affirms HTI Group’s credibility and capability in participating in international high-tech projects, but also opens opportunities to promote technology transfer, enhance R&D and manufacturing capacity, and gradually deepen participation in the global supply chain.
The cooperation between HTI Group, Aeronautics, and Viettel VMC is expected to establish a strong foundation for breakthrough developments in the UAV industry, contributing to Vietnam’s technological standing, advancing the high-tech defense industry, and moving toward the goals of self-reliance and sustainable development.
