On the morning of October 27, 2026, Mr. Nguyen Sy Thanh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of HTI Group, welcomed H.E. Poshitha Perera, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Sri Lanka to Vietnam, for a visit and working session. The meeting aimed to discuss opportunities to expand cooperation in information technology, artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, and digital transformation.

Sri Lanka, an island nation in South Asia known as the “Pearl of the Indian Ocean,” holds a strategic position along major international trade routes. The country has a well-developed industrial ecosystem, particularly in enterprise software and financial technology (Fintech). In recent years, Sri Lanka has placed increasing emphasis on developing high-tech industries to enhance its competitiveness and expand international cooperation.

During the meeting, HTI Group introduced its capabilities in research, development, manufacturing, and technological self-reliance, along with its ecosystem of products and solutions and its international market expansion strategy. Both sides also discussed opportunities for collaboration in science and technology, innovation, and the development of technology solutions tailored to practical needs.

Since mid-2026, scientific and technological cooperation between Vietnam and Sri Lanka has made further progress following high-level discussions and the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on science and technology cooperation between Vietnam’s Ministry of Science and Technology and Sri Lanka’s Ministry of Science and Technology. Sri Lanka has expressed particular interest in collaborating on the development of digital industries, satellite technology research and testing, 6G networks, and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The country is also focusing on information technology, automation, and electronic engineering, while seeking opportunities to exchange experience in digital government development and cybersecurity.

Against this backdrop, the meeting between HTI Group and the Sri Lankan Ambassador to Vietnam helped broaden opportunities for connection and cooperation between the company and potential partners in Sri Lanka. With a strong commitment to expanding into global markets, HTI Group proactively builds international partnerships, shares its technological capabilities, and promotes cooperation to bring Make in Vietnam products and solutions to promising markets, meeting both domestic and international demands.
