HTI UAS showcases “Make In Vietnam” UAV ecosystem at UAV Vietnam 2026

From September 9–11, 2026, at the Vietnam Exhibition Center (VEC) in Hanoi, HTI UAS participated in UAV Vietnam 2026 – the Vietnam International Exhibition & Forum on the Low-Altitude Economy and UAV Industry, showcasing aerial platforms and UAV technologies researched, developed, and mastered by Vietnamese engineers.

UAV Vietnam 2026 brought together more than 250 businesses, 400 exhibition booths, 8,000 visitors, and over 50 international partners, along with a series of exhibition activities, technology demonstrations, thematic seminars, and business networking activities.

At the exhibition space, HTI UAS – a member of HTI Group – introduced its “Make in Vietnam” UAV ecosystem, focusing on aerial platforms and core technologies supporting flight control, positioning, autonomous operation, and mission execution. This was also an opportunity for HTI UAS to connect with businesses, partners, and research organizations, exchange views on application needs, and discuss future development directions for Vietnam’s UAV industry.

A “Make in Vietnam” UAV Ecosystem from Reconnaissance to Transportation

One of the highlights of HTI UAS’s exhibition space was the Horus HW100 – a heavy-lift transport UAV with a payload capacity of up to 100 kg, designed for transporting goods, supplies, and equipment to hard-to-reach areas.

The Horus HW100 is equipped with an automatic winch system, quick folding and locking mechanisms, and technologies supporting operation in complex terrain and weather conditions. The platform offers potential applications in various scenarios, particularly search and rescue, disaster response, and transportation of supplies to isolated or hard-to-reach areas where conventional vehicles may face difficulties.

In addition, the Horus P02 – a long-range reconnaissance UAV – and the Horus QS24 – a multi-mission reconnaissance UAV combined with an automated take-off and landing station – continued to attract interest from domestic and international visitors and businesses.

Notably, the Horus QS24 was developed together with an automated take-off and landing station, creating a highly automated operational model that supports UAV deployment for continuous surveillance, patrol, and reconnaissance missions. This model aims to reduce reliance on direct operational tasks while expanding the deployment time and range of UAVs in real-world applications.

Focusing on Core Technology Mastery and Autonomous Operation

Beyond introducing aerial platforms, HTI UAS also brought to UAV Vietnam 2026 technologies developed to address practical challenges in UAV operation.

At the forum, Mr. Ta Ngoc Thanh – Director of HTI UAS and Head of the Vietnam AUVS Network Development Committee – delivered a presentation titled “Connecting to Master: A Co-Development and Supply Chain Model for Vietnam’s Unmanned Aircraft Systems.”

The presentation shared a business perspective on the role of connection, cooperation, and co-development in building a domestic UAV supply chain. Accordingly, establishing an ecosystem involving multiple businesses across research, design, manufacturing, component supply, and integration can contribute to strengthening Vietnam’s internal capabilities in the UAV industry.

Another notable technology introduced by HTI UAS at the event was HTI-VIO (Visual-Inertial Odometry) – a solution supporting UAV positioning when GPS/GNSS signals are disrupted or degraded.

HTI-VIO combines data from cameras, IMU inertial sensors, and altitude sensors to determine the UAV’s movement and position. The technology has been tested through practical scenarios, including UAV operation when GPS/GNSS signals are disrupted, precise take-off and landing at fixed positions, and landing on moving platforms.

The development of technologies such as HTI-VIO is one of the directions aimed at enhancing UAV autonomy and autonomous operation, particularly in environments where satellite positioning systems cannot ensure stable operation.

Connecting Businesses and Jointly Developing Vietnam’s UAV Value Chain

UAV Vietnam 2026 was also an opportunity for HTI UAS to expand connections with businesses and partners within the technology ecosystem.

During the exhibition, HTI UAS and Bach Tung Motor signed a cooperation agreement, establishing a framework for collaboration in the research, development, manufacturing, testing, production, and commercialization of high-tech products.

Under the cooperation framework, HTI UAS will leverage its capabilities in UAV research, design, and platform development, while Bach Tung Motor contributes its strengths in electric motors, mechatronics, precision mechanics, and manufacturing. The two sides aim to jointly develop products and unmanned vehicles, connecting activities from research and design to manufacturing and production.

This cooperation adds another link to the UAV supply chain, while reflecting HTI UAS’s direction of proactively connecting resources, sharing capabilities, and jointly developing technologies serving Vietnam’s UAV ecosystem.

Continuing the Journey Toward UAV Technology Mastery

The three days at UAV Vietnam 2026 gave HTI UAS an opportunity to introduce UAV platforms and technologies developed by Vietnamese engineers, while directly listening to the needs of businesses, partners, and application units.

From aerial platforms and flight control systems to positioning technologies and autonomous capabilities, HTI UAS is gradually building a UAV ecosystem toward technological self-reliance, strengthening research and development capabilities, and expanding domestic cooperation opportunities.
